Purpose of the Study:

To introduce and validate the Aronson Shopping List as a tool for assessing the ability to register new information.
To evaluate the reliability and construct validity of the Aronson Shopping List in older adults.

The Aronson Shopping List was administered to 67 community-dwelling volunteers aged 62-89 years.
Reliability was assessed through alternate form stability over 11 months.
Construct validity was explored through correlations with Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS) subtests and IQ scores.

Older participants (80-89 years) required more training compared to younger age groups.
